The first thing I do today is checking out the online exam timetable and input the dates of exam into my Palm. Then I launched my Palm Desktop and take a look at how many days I have got. Oh…my god…less than 2 weeks from the first exam (12 May)! Then I really began my revision. Shouldn’t have called it revision because (as usual) this is the first time I pick up any materials and read them. Anyway, after all these years of “exam experience”, I know it is not the time for reading a text book from page one! I check out our course website and make sure I downloaded everything and browsed through all of them.

What can I say about Apple? One of the few true innovators in the computer industry! Tonight Steve Jobs just unveiled the new iPods (10, 15, 30GB) and iTunes 4. I am totally blown away by these new gadgets! They are not just gadgets, they are great pieces of art! I am always interested in user-interface design and software from Apple alone could teach me so many things. Having been waiting for a legitimate online music source for so long, here it comes finally! US$0.99 for each song, totally acceptable to me and I wish more Chinese/Asian songs would be added to its AppleMusic Store gradually. It’d be stunning to see my favourite local singers popping up in my iTunes screen and showing me their latest MTVs!! So…what’s next? Saving up money for a new iPod!

Writing this at 3 am in the morning, I don’t feel particularly sleepy after an exhaustive day. Thanks to this wonderful weblog program that I no longer have to edit HTML and do all this FTP to get my site updated. If you had visited my personal website dated back to year 1997 or so, you should remember that I wrote so much, posting my diary online almost every day using a pure text editor. I was so amazed by my own efforts and so disappointed that I had stopped this habit for many years after. I really hope that this “diary” or weblog thing could go on again - until the day when I could no longer write.

Another day has passed. That’s what I repeatedly say to myself when my final exam is approaching. Yet, I have not acted, not even trying to get a sheet of notes onto my hands. All people like finding excuses, I am no exception. I blamed my freelance works and the SARS for this, I found myself not yet done with the outstanding freelance works (which should be done by late March) and all classes cancelled due to SARS thus making me “no mood” to study. What kind of excuses are these?!! I could spend hours reading boring plain text HOW-TO or sample codes but not picking up the books right in front of me? I deserve the blame…

All my friends know that I am living in “US Pacific Time” although I am physically in Hong Kong, most of them dare not to call me before noon except for emergency matters.
I really enjoy being a “night ghost” but I always know it is not healthy. However, it is so hard to adjust my clock back to normal, especially when most of the European football matches take place around 3 am, I really can’t afford to miss any of them! Something is different today, I managed to get up at 9 am to eat a normal breakfast…

Enough bad news every day, so I really enjoy any jokes I heard. Do share with you some of them. The first one is about our SAR Chief Executive Mr. Tung Chee-hwa (yes, him again!): One day, Mr. Tung went to the doctor because he suspected that his brain had some problems. The doctor carefully went through all the check-ups and spoke to Mr. Tung after getting the reports, “Well, Mr. Tung, the situation is…hm…you see…there are two brains in your head, one is left brain and the other is right brain. In your left brain, there is nothing right; in your right brain, there is nothing left.”

About a week ago I have launched the new design for my tennis hobby site - HKTennis.com, the feedback is so far so good. I have spent so much time on this site re-design because there are many new features and the text-editing took me one whole week already. Dazzling new features include: the first tennis coach database & search engine, a video tutorial section, a Q & A section and most importantly, new info about advertisements and club development.

As you see in my computer page, I used to own a 10G iPod, it was a really cool gadget even I am not that crazy for listening to music on the go. So I have always been waiting for a new version of iPod. According to this rumour news, a new iPod design with dock may probably be available at the end of this month. The new models will have 15G and 30G storage but the physical size will be even smaller.

Tired of being stuck at home due to SARS, I just pick up where I left 3 months ago - configuring this gorgeous pMachine CMS for a new design for my personal website. I don’t know, I guess every passionate web designer likes to re-design their sites to torture themselves, even if they are not paid for it.
