Car cruise around the island of HK
I obtained a driver’s license in Hong Kong back in 2002, but I never own a car or drive at all. I enjoy being a passenger, so that I could sleep or eat or do anything I like, most importantly I don’t have to pay attention to the traffic and the surroundings all the time - which is exhausting for my brain, I meant it.
Today I enjoyed very much being a passenger in the round-the-island car cruise with Bernice, there is nothing to worry when my best friend drives, with all the experience, skills and attitude she’s got, I just took my time to appreciate the sceneries. We began by having a late tea lunch at the revamped Jumbo Kingdom in Aberdeen, then drove along the south of Hong Kong Island, passing by Deep Water Bay, Repulse Bay, Chung Hom Kwok, and arrived in Stanley, where I spent 7 years studying and has always been a special place to me.
We strolled around the Stanley Plaza and the Murray Tower, then we drove to the Stanley Fortress but only discovered that it’s a restricted zone. Then we went to Tai Tam, where we passed by the Hong Kong International School, the Red Hill Peninsula and Tai Tam Reservoir, before picking up my parents in Chai Wan for a Chiu-chow style seafood dinner in Kowloon City, joined by my sister.
We had tasted some very delicious food in a humble restaurant tonight, the best of all was the “Shark Fins with Chicken in Soup”, I also loved the scallops. Here is the pic. Enjoy!
The day wasn’t over yet! Manchester United v Arsenal at Old Trafford tonight! We rushed back home to catch the match, there is no disappointment - Manchester United beat Arsenal 2-0, hurray!!!!
