Birthday – Part II
Continuing my birthday report with another full day of activities. The most dramatic thing happened when I got up this morning for tennis with Andy at the Ladies’ Recreation Club (LRC). While I was packing up my gear as usual, I discovered that my mobile phone was gone! OMG… I immediately called my number and not surprisingly, the phone was turned off. So I tried to recall where I lost it, that must be in the taxi I took home last night! Damn it… I wonder how many calls I’ve missed. So there is no choice, I cut the card and got a new one, as I truly believe that I have zero chance in recovering it.
Of course I feel bad about this, I just got the phone in February! I guess it still worth HK$1500 on the second hand market. Though I sync my contacts regularly to my Mac that I didn’t lose any number, I am upset that I lost all the SMS messages I saved, I really treasure some of them.

Anyway, I am so experienced in losing stuffs, trust me, I cope with it very well indeed. The first thing popped up on my mind was – hey, I could have lost my wallet or my digital camera or my BlackBerry last night! If I had to lose one thing, it wasn’t that bad choice! Yeah, of course I should blame myself for carelessness (again!).

The tennis games at LRC were fantastic, I lost 1-6, 5-7 to Andy, at least I made some improvements on the scores. I am still not that used to playing under the sun, hopefully more training later would help. The food at LRC is just unbeatable, in terms of both price and quality. Andy got me his CD and a tin of hand-made cookies for my birthday. Thanks Andy!

After a short break in the office, I went to the regular practice at HKU as usual. Afterwards my teammates took me to the Steak Expert restaurant in Wanchai, it is a really nice place, the food was great too. Among all dishes, I like the goose liver, rack of lamb and chocolate pudding with ice-cream the most. Oh yeah, we finished the whole bottle of champagne (got it last night in Miramar) easily, it tasted so good! Look at the bubbles in above pic…
Got home finally and time to unwrap my birthday present. Sister got me the JBL On Stage for iPod. Painless to setup and it looks so cool!!! Enjoy the pic!
