AE’s Platinum Credit Card Tagline

Recently something has been bothering me every day. There is a huge billboard near the East Harbour Tunnel HK entrance that reads “Now there’s a credit card heavily weighted in your favour“. On their campaign website, it reads “How heavily weighted is the American Express Platinum Credit Card?“. It’s been there for almost three weeks and no one cares about fixing it? I am embarrassed.

Happy Birthday to Michael Chang!

Bleached teeth

Should have done this before going to USA, but only now I got the time to do it. It isn’t any big deal, I just had my teeth bleached here. The result is satisfactory and it is reasonably quick (less than an hour). If you have had any Oral Prophylaxis before, you could imagine how it feels to have in-office bleaching. That kind of uncomfortable feeling just last longer, well, at least 8 hours afterwards. So I played terrible tennis tonight, and didn’t enjoy the dinner at all. It’s all worth it when you see my big smile. :-D

More tennis

Feeling great today, not just because I had a productive day at work, I also managed to play a lot of tennis. Well, it’s not that much in terms of absolute time - less than 2 hours. It made me feel “a lot” for I usually don’t play after work on a week day, and the first hour was a one-on-one lesson with my coach. Oh yeah, I did run a lot and sweat a lot, but very enjoyable. Then I played some games with the current university team players, great fun too. It’s very nice to chat with them and know that they’re all doing well, especially in the Inter-U competitions. I can’t wait to see them winning the championships again this year!

It’s also time to visit the gym again, I haven’t done that for at least two months, that’s so lazy and absolute a waste of money (ok, it’s sunk cost because of the 12-month contract). Somehow (excuse again) I haven’t gained any weight after the Xmas/CNY and some friends even said I look a bit slimmer! I guess it is because I began eating less since Xmas and didn’t even touch the greasy stuffs over the CNY.

Last but not least, happy birthday to Andrew (17 Feb)!

Happy Chinese New Year

Liu's FamilyHappy Year of Rooster! Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Just got up and ready for the routine of every year, it’s the kind of routine that I could foresee who I will see, what they will say, what I will eat and what will happen next. This year will be no surprise, at least for the first three days.

Movie of the year (selected by relatives): The Incredibles, will be seen by 12 of us this afternoon.

Enjoy every one!

New mobile phone - Motorola V600

Motorola V600As you know I lost my mobile phone on my birthday two months ago. Finally I got a new one last Friday. It is a Motorola V600, at HK$2,200. It took me such a long time to get a new phone because I really couldn’t find a better model with that price and features. During this time I relied solely on my BlackBerry, which just survived a car crash, and was serving me particularly well in USA. In the end I still got a Bluetooth phone to avoid re-entering all my contacts, but I’d like to stay away from Sony Ericsson for a while, I’ve used too many SE phones over the past few years. It’s time to try something new.

Besides, all other models of SE still suffer from the same problem - it is slow in response and sometimes hangs (like Windows PC). So despite having to buy a USB data cable to sync my OS X Address Book with this Motorola V600, I decided to get a new phone of another brand. Sharing the frustration of all fellow Mac owners of this phone, I can’t accept the fact that the PowerPC (CPU used by Apple) maker Motorola couldn’t make their phones work on Mac! What is the logic of having a bluetooth (wireless technology) phone to sync with your computer using a WIRE???!!!

Happy Birthday to Melody!

Birthday celebration with MelodyHappy Birthday! Melody is another good friend from SSC, I can’t say how old she is, she is always younger than me anyway. LOL! We had a Japanese dinner a few days ago with her to celebrate, the food was good, especially the ice-cream dessert afterwards. Recently I got to know more about make-up products (at least I took the time to shop around and learn about them), so I got her some make-up stuffs, hope that would be useful and I wish her the best of luck and wonderful trip(s) ahead!
