Lost my mobile phone, again

Yes, I did it again. I lost my new Siemens SK65 bought just three months ago. When? On my way to tennis lesson this evening, I was running late. Where? Either in the taxi or in the changing room. It’s more likely in the taxi, yes, again. I am so upset, I really love this phone, and it’s just three-month new! Though I have a backup of my address book on my laptop that I didn’t lose any number, I lost all the SMS (text messages) saved. Don’t ask me why I care about those messages, I really miss them and my phone!

30 mins, that’s all it took to lose my HK$3,600 and this is for the asshole who switched off my phone when I called back: you would be in jail very soon!

To the taxi driver (LV 5271) who dropped me off at Sandy Bay at 18:51 today: if you return the phone to me, I would reward you with HK$3,000.

Mark Six 30th Anniversary Snowball

Good luck struck on our family lately. After my father won a 4th prize in Mark Six last month, my sister won it again tonight, first time for both of them! She told me she randomly selected these numbers, which form a V-shape pattern on the ticket, while waiting in queue: 12, 14, 25, 27, 32, 34. And the winning numbers are:

Mark Six Winning Numbers

I figure that I should at least make some efforts to pick my own numbers from now on, since I never won anything with computer-generated numbers! Do I or anyone get a share of her $4,800? No, she found this sum too little to subsidize the newly-bought $30K LCD TV, not to mention the new flat … so, you better don’t ask her for a treat!

As there were no first prize winners for tonight’s draw, a giant jackpot of $43 million will be carried forward to the next draw. It is estimated that if there is only one winning unit for the first prize, the winner could take home $60 million, the second highest payout in the Mark Six history.

Update: How embarrassing, it turns out that it is just a 5th prize (HK$320) only …

Manchester United beat Hong Kong 2-0

Giggs at HK Friendly MatchYou’d be surprised to know that I didn’t go to the Hong Kong Stadium to watch Manchester United play Hong Kong Team today, even when my sister got free tickets enough for every one in our family.

Not because I wasn’t interested in seeing ManU play, I am just not too enthusiastic about friendlies in general, especially when it involves a much weaker opponent like our so-called Hong Kong National Team. I could go on and go for hours why I think the sport of football fails in Hong Kong, but I’d rather talk about how much improvement I have made in my tennis game lately. I am hunger for more games and training. Anyhow my parents and sister went there, see photos on my flickr, they all said that the match was boring and I made the right choice.

Bernice’s Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to my best friend Bernice!!!
Bernice\'s Birthday
I can’t recall when was the last time she spent her birthday in Hong Kong, probably more than a decade ago! After tonight’s fun, I hope she’ll consider having it here every year! We started with a hot pot dinner in Tang Lun Street in Causeway Bay, followed by karaoke and drinks at Times Karaoke Space in Circle Tower in the same street. It’s a nice place, especially if you are gifted in singing and not shy to perform before a few dozens of strangers in its open lounge. I was quite drunk after having a mixture of different drinks.
