My sister, my brother and I went back to our mother school St. Stephen’s College, Stanley today. We all love this place and its people, but it’s been a long time since we graduated, so many things have changed and it would take more than a short lunch to get to learn about them.

That’s the big purchase. Can’t really call this 2001 Toyota Corolla a new car, but it is just like new! Perfect condition and good price. Black is also my favourite color (for cars). We took it to the New Territories for a ride yesterday, now my shoulders and back need a serious rest after eight hours of driving!
My family probably thought the 10KM race alone wouldn’t be enough to exhaust me, so they wanted to go to the Ocean Park after dim sum lunch today! After the race, I took a shower in California Fitness and they were still in bed … it felt so weird for me to get up so early (4 am) and got such a long morning without knowing what to do.

Finally I did it! I ran the 10KM race today at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2006 - yes I ran, not walked throughout the whole course. It was an unbelievable experience for me, I never ran a full 10KM before (even in practice) and I couldn’t believe I could do it in a race! Given that it was only my first attempt and I’ve never practised since December, I guess 1 hour 6 mins wasn’t too bad. When the results are available on the website tomorrow, I hope it will be even less because I wasn’t in the front during the start. The whole event was just superb, everything from marketing to post-race arrangements were great. Now I am happily waiting for my photo shots here and my completion certificate to arrive.

Bill and I will be going to Beijing in early March to participate in the MacMeet Beijing 2006. The trip has just been confirmed today. It’d be so nice to stay in The Peninsula and meet our friend David Feng while touring around the Capital.
Hopefully we’ll be able to make friends with many other Mac users and give a short presentation that is interesting enough to keep others awake! Meanwhile, I just bought something BIG and will announce here very soon.
