Working out

Ignite Studio
Since I returned from Seoul last weekend, I’ve started working out again after a two-year break. My membership with California Fitness expired just two months ago, and I successfully resisted the temptation to sign up with another gym. The fact that I only visited the gym less than 10 times in two years has convinced me that this would never work, ever.

On any given day, I’d rather go play tennis, badminton or whatever sport but work out at the gym. Even though it’s so conveniently located (right next to my office), I just couldn’t find the motivation. On the other hand, I feel the desperate need to get it going again - I’m really sick of my growing belly!

So here comes the “external aid” to motivate myself - I found myself a personal trainer and paid upfront. I always love to sweat and believe in “no pain no gain”, but I just need someone there to push me (my bad!). After a mere 4 lessons, it seems to be working for me! At least I *made it* to the gym on a regular basis!

Let me make my goal public right here, right now: Flat abs + down to 105 lbs in 3 months. Go go go!!!

Hello from Seoul!

Delicious mocha & chocolate cake

Hello! This is my third day and the last day in this short Seoul trip. Right now I’m about to check out at the Ritz, and off for the last outing before boarding the return flight at 8PM. Check out my photos on Flickr.

Off for South Korea

Three months into year 2008, I still keep getting questions like “Where did you go for X’mas / Chinese New Year?” …

OK, ladies and gentlemen, in order not to disappoint you I’m finally getting away from Hong Kong. In around 4 hours, I’ll be boarding a CX plane to Seoul, South Korea. This is my first visit to Korea, and I’m totally clueless. I have got only three days, and I don’t know what I could do with that. Shopping? Probably not. Eating? How can I order the food without knowing Korean? There is no tour guide, I’ll be by myself (most of the time) when my friend attends her business conferences.

Anyway, I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to stroll around on my own. Will be back before you notice … have a great weekend every one!

Web Wednesday Social Mixer v10.0

Me, Michael & Chris

I thoroughly enjoyed tonight’s Web Wednesday Social Mixer as the guest speaker is Kenneth Kong, BD Director - Digital Media for IMG, the company that invented sports marketing. I’ve always loved sports, and combining sports with digital media sounds a perfect match for me. Any one needs a sport website done? ;-)

Pistachio Gelato Cake

Gelato Pistachio Cake

Last week I bumped into da dolce Gelato Italiano in Causeway Bay and got this Pistachio gelato cake for my friend’s birthday. It tasted really good but too bad we were too full to finish the whole cake. Definitely worth a second visit!

Coach course finally over

Coach Course

Finally completed the elementary coach course held at Hong Kong Sports Institute at Wu Kai Sha Youth Village today, it was an interesting experience but I don’t think I’d do that again if I fail. After all, I never fancy making a living by teaching tennis, even if I am good enough to. Since I am not (and would never be), I am happy to stick with what I’m doing right now. Back to work soon!
