Happy New Year every one! I’ve been very quiet over the holidays because I was so busy doing the books for tax return, running all kinds of errands and going to parties/gatherings/shows. So much stuff (trash) has piled up every where as I’m kind of hopeless in executing my GTD “Weekly Review” so far … so only when it comes to long holiday I got a chance to do it. It feels great indeed and I keep wondering: why couldn’t I do that on a regular basis? Sometimes it takes much more to be motivated, knowing something is right for you is not enough!

So my first gadget in the new year? Slingbox Classic which I got from Three HK for FREE. What’s the catch? Extend my current mobile contract for 12 months. This box is selling at HK$1,880 retail price, so I figure it’s a bargain! I’ve never setup a device like this, so it took me quite a while to get it to work. I’m glad it’s working now, and you can see my desktop image here - watching football on NOW Sports Channel on my MacBook Pro! You know what’s the worst thing about somebody breaking up with you? Is when you remember how little you thought about the people you broke up with and you realize that is how little they’re thinking of you. You know, you’d like to think you’re both in all this pain but they’re just like ‘Hey, I’m glad you’re gone’.

眨下眼個暑假就過左（雖然唔係好關我事），九月真係好似好忙咁，一直都無停過，所以都無時間（更無精力）去寫 blog。忙乜？忙 GTD, 哈哈，呢個真係會上癮架，我連 Wallpaper 都換埋！係 Things 同 OmniFocus 未出之前，我用住 iGTD 先，但係以我的一貫性格，更係去到盡，基本上係所有野都入晒落去, seriously, my whole life is there。小至屋企要買盞床頭燈，大至公司的發展計劃，我都通通寫低晒，那種感覺好特別。一方面好有滿足感（我知，寫左唔代表做左），另一方面好驚自己做唔到。我的缺點就係太貪心，又唔夠毅力，所以一定要對自己誠實：衡量下係咪真係做得來，一 commit 左就點都要做到。

網球的聯賽球季剛剛開始，同時又要參加公開賽，我的日程都幾豐富。今晚本來要打南華會公開賽的單打第一輪，可惜遇著打風落雨要改明晚，碰巧又撞正爸爸的生日，真係分身不睱。早幾日打 morning league 時又觸及左腳踝的舊患，睇完跌打後行得OK, 但係對單打比賽都不敢有期望。受傷真係好慘，明明平時 easy job 的一球可以完全打唔中，因為隻腳痛企唔穩。所以係電視睇足球時見到Ｄ球員俾人踢中都好肉緊，正所謂己所不欲，勿施於人，靠對腳搵食俾你踢傷真係好慘情。難得可以留係屋企睇曼聯對車路士，我就直落睇埋Ｄ想睇好耐既 DVD - 今晚就睇左 Evan Almighty。第一次看 Steve Carrell 係在 Bruce Almighty 同埋 The 40 Year Old Virgin，真係笑鬼死我！不過我都係鍾意第一集多Ｄ，一來個故事有新鮮感、二來 Jim Carrey 更加抵死搞笑 （尤其係用電郵 Reply All) 。我覺得呢個 series 同 Click 大同小異，後者多Ｄ感人場面, 全部都值得看，老少咸宜。

看書亦係最近的主要活動之一，買左好多，有排看，我諗要等到十一月先有機會去下旅行。希望唔駛等到出年一月的 Macworld Conference 啦！

裝修完要大執位真係好麻煩，淨係諗點樣利用現有傢俬來fitＤ騎呢位巳經頭痛死, 同時又要清潔、又要拉過晒network同setup過晒所有電器。搞左成日都仲未完全setup好，點苦中作樂？鑿冰啦！估唔到咁好玩, 直頭係爭住黎做呀！

放工回家巳經很累，即刻走進浴室準備沖涼，除衫時感覺有野閃過，一望進淋浴間，駭然發現有一隻巨型小強！我嚇到即刻跳出來，關上浴室門，不知怎辦！呢輪天氣那麼熱，我一直都開冷氣，所以全屋就只有浴室有開窗，相信小強就係從那裡入侵。我實有太怕這種昆蟲，就算屋企有殺蟲水都唔敢面對佢，以前都係尖叫搵阿媽求救就得，而家一個人住唯一的選擇就係 — 走！

好彩關了浴室門佢又走不出來，我完全專注不到工作，不如睇影碟啦！上星期六係旺角買了 隔著阿媽說愛你 (Prime) 呢套戲，諗住睇Ｄ輕鬆小品可以幫我「定驚」。睇下睇下，先知呢套唔係 Chick Flick, 越睇越投入，都唔記得咗隻小強。:-) 講番套戲，剛離婚的 Uma Thurman 同 Bryan Greenberg 搞「姊弟戀」，一個37歲一個23歲(兩個都係prime number), 為了克服這心理障礙，求助於心理醫生 Meryl Streep (梅麗史翠普), 點知原來佢係男友阿媽。

當中有不少精警對白, 我覺得最正就係講梅麗史翠普立場點樣180度轉變，令我諗起其實好多阿媽都係有雙重標準（包括我那個），正所謂「人地點都得，你係我生所以就唔得！」。Uma Thurman 真係好戲，之前睇Kill Bill (Vol.1/2)都睇唔到佢有咁charming的一面，我係女人都覺得佢好「索」，反而個男主角就無乜驚喜，可能我老過佢所以無feel, 哈哈！個劇本好寫實，每個角色講同做既野都好正常，雖然有些人會覺得「有無咁保守落後呀？」，我絕對覺得有，由其係中國人既社會，就好似戲裡那個猶太人家庭, 有好多根深蒂固的傳統思想，往往都會搞到兩代人火星撞地球。如果你係男仔，唔想陪另一半睇Chick Flick, 我推介你揀呢套！

That is it, the polls are closed, the tea ladies sent home and all your fascinating views and opinions and have been read, revered and ridiculed by yours truly, not to mention pain-stakingly counted and compiled into the definitive Top Ten list of movies for 2006. There are a few interesting things to consider – firstly, every film on the list is American. Not a single movie, dubbed or subbed, made its way into your collective hearts. Does this reflect on the current state of Cinema in Asia? Or does it reflect on your personal viewing tastes? Or does it simply say something about Governor Schwarzenegger’s constituents? That Hollywood may have started making decent movies again, after so many years languishing in the wilderness of mediocrity? Or am I just waffling on to get myself warmed up, and to give you a moment to grab a coffee and a bagel before I get started? Who can truly say? I just thought it was interesting.

Seriously, if you are now in Hong Kong but not planning to see Quidam (Nov 3 - Dec 11), you are going to miss something really nice!

The world renowned Cirque du Soleil is now on tour in Hong Kong, I missed the “O” show in Las Vegas earlier in January so I wouldn’t miss this one. As every one said, it’s a great show. I just went to it tonight, my friend and I enjoyed it very much. We were very lucky to have bought the last-row seats in the VIP zone for $600, I think there are still tickets available, go get’em now!

p.s. If you’re going, don’t be late because the shows starts on time
